A not-for-profit grassroots venue for the enjoyment of Americana music by artists who create it or interpret it in unique ways.
Riverdog is located on a private 20 acre property five miles west of Oberlin, Ohio, at the edge of the beautiful Vermilion River Valley. Concerts, which began in 2013, are informal, intimate and comfortable for guests. No one has to squeeze into an auditorium seat, no one has to stand and no one has to spend a fortune for a ticket or a beverage! Riverdog is not a business...we sell no food or beverages and guests may bring in whatever they like to eat or drink. Like a "house concert", funds collected are used to support the artists who perform. |

“.....and Saturday night Dale took me out to Riverdog to hear some fantastic music! I told him there's no where else I'd rather be to celebrate a new year of life. Set way back off the road in the middle of the woods, it's stepping into another world where worries and cares are the only things not welcome. Deborah and Terry open their doors and welcome you in and it's like coming home. Golden candle light, beautiful rooms decorated with their artwork and charming ambiance, fireplace blazing cheerfully, Plenty of seating around the fire...the dogs will share their sofas with you... :) and then there are the host and hostess who greet everyone and make them feel welcome. They have a passion for music and have created this sanctuary for all who want to come and enjoy too! It's an enchanted place, and this is where we spent the eve before my birthday! They even had birthday cakes for a few others and when they found out is was my birthday too, they included me in the song and celebration. and of course, then there is the music, which unites all who are there in great joy. You always meet new friends at Riverdog. “ Marcia Martin
"Went there for the first time for the music. What I found was a rustic, down-to-earth place, emphasizing artistic talent, a relaxing atmosphere and a lack of commercialism for a performance venue. Things are done simply, yet incredibly well. It's all about the visual and musical art, and restorative simplicity" Terry Parker
